Microneedling in Long Island, NY

Your body has an amazing ability to heal, and microneedling uses this process to help with cosmetic flaws on the skin. For patients in Long Island, Queens and surrounding communities in New York, Eunice E. Park, MD, a dual board-certified facial plastic surgeon and ear, nose, and throat (otolaryngology) specialist, offers microneedling.

What is Microneedling?

Also known as “collagen induction therapy,” microneedling is a cosmetic treatment that creates tiny microinjuries in the skin. The channels created by the microneedling device trigger your body’s healing process which relies on collagen and elastin to repair wounds. The additional collagen provides a support for the skin that reduces lines, wrinkles and other flaws, and elastin helps your skin retain shape.

Benefits of Microneedling

Microneedling is a minimally-invasive treatment that is performed in our office. Although the treatment is relatively simple, you should only have it performed by an experienced plastic surgeon to ensure that the skin is not damaged. Microneedling may help your skin care products penetrate the skin better. The treatment can be performed on the face and body.

Am I a Candidate for Microneedling?

Dr. Park may recommend microneedling to help with your fine lines, crow’s feet, lines on the forehead and other signs of aging. The treatment may also help with scars, such as those caused by acne, as well as stretch marks. Pigmentation, sun damage, and large pores can also be treated.

What to Expect from Microneedling

During your microneedling treatment, a special device is applied to the skin. The device is designed with several tiny needles that create channels in the skin. The channels are very small. After the treatment, your skin may be sensitive to sunlight, so you should use an appropriate sunscreen.

How Much Does Microneedling Cost in Long Island, NY?

The cost of a microneedling treatment depends on the size of the area and nature of the skin flaws. During your consultation, Dr. Park develops a treatment plan upon which we determine an estimated cost. You may incur additional charges during the treatment and follow-up appointments. For your convenience, we accept payment by cash, check and major credit card.

Microneedling is quickly becoming a popular non-surgical option for men and women in Long Island, Queens and surrounding communities in New York. If you want to learn more about this procedure, contact us to schedule your personal consultation with Eunice E. Park, MD.
